Obituary for Henrique M. Vieira
Waterbury, CT Henrique M. Vieira, 60, died peacefully on April 6, 2017 at Waterbury Hospital.
Henrique was born on June 20, 1956 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Joao M. and Belmira (Olivera) Vieira and had lived in Waterbury for the past 10 years, after living most of his life in Naugatuck. He was a member of the Operators Union, Local 478 having worked as a heavy equipment operator for the L.G. DeFelice and Arborio construction companies.
Mr. Vieira is survived by his son, Henrique M. Vieira, Jr. and his wife Cari; his daughter, Rebecca Locke; his son, Steven Vieira; his sister, Brigida Vieira Pregano and her husband Adelino; his brother, John M. Vieira, Sr.; his brother, Antonio J. Vieira; his granddaughter, Paige White and her husband Jeffrey; his grandson, Jase Vieira; his great grandson, Nicholas Guzman; his longtime companion, Desiree R. Accetura and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Henrique was predeceased by his son, Michael Vieira; his sister, Maria Branco and his sister-in-law, Eileen Vieira.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Saturday from 7:45am to 9:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, CT 06706 or to the American Cancer Society, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
