Naugatuck, CT Antoinette Barnes, 66, the wife of George E. Barnes, Jr., died peacefully Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
Antoinette was born in Norwalk, CT on July 18, 1950 a daughter of Gertrude (Bauman) Hemingway and the late Arthur B. Hemingway and had lived in Naugatuck for the past 30 years. Antoinette loved knitting, doing puzzles and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband George and her mother Gertrude, Antoinette is survived by her son, Bill Golinski and his wife Noelle; her step-son, George Barnes, III; her 5 grandchildren; her brothers, Arthur, Wayne and Allen Hemingway; her sisters, Laticia Socci, Gladys DiDia, Jean Terry, Shirley Wiebil, Dorothy Greene, Hiedi, Marleen and Stephanie Hemingway and many nieces and nephews. Antoinette was predeceased by her son, Kevin Allen Barnes.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00pm.
