Obituary for Robert L. Corchard
Waterbury, CT Robert L. Corchard, 90, husband of the late Lillian Corchard, died peacefully on June 16, 2016 at Beacon Brook Health Care Center.
Robert was born on Sept. 21, 1925 in Chicago, IL and had been a Waterbury resident for most of his life. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, having worked for many years at the main post office in Waterbury. Robert was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War Veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a former member of V.F.W. Post 201 in Waterbury.
Robert is survived by his nieces, Mary Voyzey of Georgia, Donna Dufour of Wolcott, Sharon Newman of Naugatuck and Marie Ashrut of Waterbury and many great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at the CT State Veterans’ Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT 06457. There are no calling hours.
