One of my treasured cousins on my mother's side of my family, my mom was Antoinette Grandpre Shaw, kid (youngest) sister to Ernest Grandpre, Victor's dad. Sadly, we lost our parents young. I remember, Victor's mom, very well, Aunt Simone was a wonderful seamstress, she sewed my dance recital costumes when I was a little girl! She was a loving, happy Aunt, always welcoming to her Shaw nieces and nephews. I remember her 90th birthday celebration, seeing all her Grandpre+ descendents there having a great time! I know I have photos including Victor (I'll have to find them cause I love looking at pictures and reminiscing). As my cousin, Victor holds a special place in my heart and his memory will live on.
