Lorraine (Pronovost) Chevrier, 90, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Jan. 26, 2018, at Wolcott View Manor.

Lorraine was born on December 7, 1927, in Waterbury. She was the daughter of Lucien Pronovost and Mabel (Pilloise) Pronovost.

Lorraine worked for 25 years at the Farm Shop (now Friendly’s). She was also a department manager at the former Grandway Dept Store.

A devoted mother and grandmother, her main interest was sewing. She made everything from curtains to dresses and did many repairs for family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and baker, and enjoyed going to the casino.

Among her survivors are daughters Linda Eng (and her husband, Henry) and Donna Harnick; brother Gene Pronovost, and his wife, Rayma, of Oregon; and grandchildren John Harnick Jr., Brian Harnick, Sherrie Shover and Michael Eng.

Burial will be at the convience of the family.
