I'm sorry I can't be there on Friday to celebrate my cousin Bob's life but I will be thinking of him on that day and remembering him in my own way. My sympathies to Rob, Michelle, Alan, Cheryl and their families, as well as Bob's extended family of loved ones, buddies and friends. There are Beatles lyrics that say... " In the end the love we take is equal to the love we make" and I think that saying holds true about Bob. He was a blessing to many and, in turn, was blessed himself during his illness with the thoughts and prayers of all who cared about him , with the devoted efforts of his sister Cheryl, and with the comforting presence of his children who never left his side during his final days. Growing up, Bob had the heartfelt love of his mother Estelle, his grandmother Julia and my own mother, his Aunt Helen and I am certain that when he left this world on January 2nd, all three of those women were waiting on the other side for him with open arms to welcome him home. My cousin Bob was an original. He will be missed.
