Naugatuck, CT Dorothy B. Cluen, 90, the widow of John W. “Jack” Cluen, died peacefully on April 16, 2018 at Beacon Brook Health Center.

Dorothy was born on July 29, 1927 in New York, NY a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Dempsey) Fischer and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Dorothy was a devout catholic and a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Dorothy was a member of the Naugatuck Garden Club and the Naugatuck Council of Catholic Women. Dorothy was well known and loved in Naugatuck and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Christine Bush and her husband, Randy of New York, NY; her son, John J. Cluen and his wife, Marilyn of Germantown, MD; her five grandchildren, Joseph Cluen (Mandy), Connor Bush, Liam Bush, Terence Bush (Molly) and Kyle Bush. In addition to her husband and her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Scollin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is asked to please meet at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 6-8pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Dorothy’s memory, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
