Naugatuck, CT Margaret A. Galardi, 72, died peacefully at her home on July 31, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Margaret was born on August 3, 1944 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late William John Smith, Sr. and Mary (Steffy) Smith and she was a former employee of both MacDermid Inc and Health Net, Inc.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Maryanne Galardi; her son and daughter in law, Christopher and Tanya Galardi; her granddaughter, Katelin “Lovie” Galardi; her brothers, Otto “Buddy” Wagner and William J. Smith and his wife Arlene, several nieces and nephews, and Rita Dinkoski a friend of more than 63 years. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Mary and Peter Pape and her sister in law, Cliffeen Wagner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours are Saturday from 8:30am to 10:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
