Obituary for Elizabeth Guild

Elizabeth  Guild
Southington, CT- Elizabeth Guild, 90, wife of the late Arnold Guild, passed away on Sept. 12, 2017 at The Summit of Plantsville surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth was born on Sept. 26, 1926 in South Williamsport, PA a daughter of the late Fred and Alva (Rowe) Ardry. Her family came to Connecticut in April 1932 with the rubber shop. She attended Beacon Falls School and graduated from Naugatuck High School. Elizabeth and Arnold were married in 1947 and had 5 children. She worked for the Rubber Shop on the Victory Line and Murry’s 5 & 10, while in high school. She had retired from the Eyelet Crafter after 22years of service.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Ginger Michaud and husband Gene, of Winsted; Nancy Casanova of Southington; Sandy Langlois and husband Ted of Waterbury; her son, Paul Guild of Southington; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents Elizabeth goes to join her daughter, Patty Urcinas.

A Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at 7pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Friday from 5-7pm at the funeral home. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.buckmillerthurstonmengacci.com.
