Prospect- GAUDETTE Richard Joseph, age 67, formerly of Shelton, entered into his everlasting home in heaven on Sunday, September, 1, 2013, at home with his loving family beside him. Richard was born in St. Albans, Vermont on March 9, 1946.
He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife, Jeanette Cavoto Gaudette; his children Ginger and Michael Glovna of Connecticut; Justin and Ira Gaudette of Massachusetts and four cherished grandchildren. Survivors also include his brothers Bill Gaudette of Texas; Robert and Eulis Gaudette of Vermont and his sister Sheila Powers of Vermont.
Rich was a Navy Vietnam War veteran and a member of the VFW. He was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for 34 years and had worked on the "Presidential" helicopter. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan.
A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Church in Cheshire, 1146 Waterbury Rd, Cheshire (Rt. 70 off I-84) on Friday September 6th at 10am. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until the start of services. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
